THE FIRST SESSION
Get ready.
Get on track.
Track Trainer runs on 64-bit Windows and uses your local iRacing telemetry. Live practice requires iRacing to be running.
Install Track Trainer
Once downloads are available, choose the Windows installer on the Track Trainer page. Portable users should extract the entire ZIP and keep the executable with its accompanying runtime, src, and ui folders.
The packaged app includes its runtime dependencies. A separate PHP installation is not required.
Choose a reference
Load a local IBT, BLAP, OLAP, or TCLAP reference file. You can also sign in to Garage 61 through your browser and import laps your account is permitted to access. Use a reference that matches the track configuration you want to practice.
Start with Track Trainer
- Open Track Trainer and load your reference.
- Join an iRacing session on the matching configuration.
- Open Tracks to check the sectors and turns. Adjust local definitions if needed.
- Select sector or turn mode and position your overlays.
- Drive a complete segment, then review its captured inputs. Use Training attempts to revisit or load a saved session.
Keep your settings
Track Trainer stores preferences and custom track profiles under your Windows user’s LocalAppData folder in TrackTrainer. Updating the app retains these local settings.
Questions before your first lap?
Can I review files without driving live?
Yes. Local reference files and saved sessions let you review recorded inputs. Live capture and overlays need an active iRacing session.
Why are my turn definitions different?
Local custom definitions override the app’s defaults. Select the matching track configuration and Turns in Tracks, then choose Reset to restore the defaults supplied with your current installation.
Does the app include Garage 61 access?
Track Trainer can connect to your Garage 61 account. The available laps depend on that account’s permissions; connecting does not grant access to every lap on the service.
Are automatic track-template updates available?
A separate template-update feed is planned. Current installations use their bundled defaults and local customizations.
